Diagnostic Admin Volunteer
Job Introduction

Autism Anglia’s gold standard ASD Diagnostic Service has been established since October 2019, and has expanded to include ADHD assessment and diagnosis.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diagnostic Admin Volunteer to join the team at Head Office.
- Location: Autism Anglia, 59 North Hill, Colchester, CO1 1QF
- Hours: 4-14 hours per week
- Salary: Voluntary role (you will be paid for any out of pocket expenses)
The service is expanding and welcomes application for volunteers to contribute further administration support for data analysis of pre-assessment screening, data management, and quality control. There is also the potential to provide initial information to clinicians, gather enhanced information relating to recommendations, and some elements of proof reading. This role would benefit from someone who has personal background with neurodiversity particularly autism/ADHD, sensitivity to a range of client circumstances, and good data and/or literacy skills.
This support will help us to positively impact the lives of adults with autism and ADHD supporting their diagnostic journey and providing high quality timely interactions and information.
The Volunteer Role:
- Administrate the pre-diagnostic screening process;
- Responding to client enquiries and requests for information from other external sources;
- Use of the charity’s database, file management and spreadsheets to record information including recommendations;
- Ensuring client receives timely and accurate information;
- Working within the team to deliver high quality support;
- Provide input to manager to monitor work progress or escalate issues.
- To be familiar with Autism Anglia’s policies and procedures, especially those relating to Safeguarding.
Applications are welcome from volunteers with the following:
- Familiarity with MS office
- Experience within diagnostics and/or psychology
- Students completing or have completed degree in subject matter looking for experience within Diagnostics or an admin/data role
- Have previously undertaken an Undergraduate degree
- Previous experience, or qualification/training in autism/ADHD or similar
