Job Title: Community Liaison Manager
Reports to: Therapy Community and Diagnostics
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed)
Place of work: Head Office
We aim to provide services and facilities that encourage autistic children and adults to live a rich and fulfilling life. We achieve this through our specialist co-educational school, residential and supported living, training, education and diagnostic services.

The Role:
Autism Anglia is the leading charity operating across the entire East Anglia area, enhancing the lives of those with autism by using both person centered and holistic approaches. The community liaison is there to support people in North East Essex who have been diagnosed providing support, guidance, and signposting in order that correct support can be accessed.
Leading a team of Community Liaisons as well as building strategic relationships in the community, problem solve, analyse data and project manage. You will be expected to communicate with multiple services and individuals, learning at each step about how to make care equitable for autistic people. In addition, you will manage the drop-in groups across the designated areas and work with schools and their teams allowing for smooth transition between services as required.
- Manage and support the Community Support team on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide strong leadership to the staff team and act as a role model to staff, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding services.
- Line manage direct reports and provide supervision and appraisals
- Lead staff meetings
- Oversee the development of the service
- Ensure each service meets the targets specified in contracts and service agreements, including ensuring appropriate recording and monitoring systems are in place for contract compliance.
- Manage and monitor day to day expenditure and ensure all team members follow financial systems and structures.
- Manage a caseload of individuals, working with them on an 1-1 basis supporting them to access appropriate services and agencies relevant to their needs within the community.
- Keep client notes updated in an appropriate, timely and professional manner.
- Set up and host weekly drop-in groups across North East Essex providing a range of support and signposting when needed.
- Attend SEN Roadshows
- Write and deliver external training specific to Autism and Autism Awareness
- Provide training to a range of community groups, local business, and health providers.
- Collect and collate data that supports the continual development of the service.
- Identifying and supporting both pre/post-diagnostic pathways.

- Significant experience of working with autistic people.
- Experience of dealing with agencies and community groups.
- Knowledge of community services across the area.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel across North East Essex.
